It opens with 13 general travel essentials: passport and visa documents, ID, payment card, cash, phone, power bank and cables, chargers and adapters, toiletries, outfits, a water bottle, personal essentials, snacks, and bookings and itinerary. Every line can be renamed or removed, you can type in your own, and one button restores the 13 defaults while another clears the list.

The items and the departure time stay in this browser's local storage. There is no account and nothing is kept on a server, so opening the page in another browser or on another device starts from the defaults again. To carry a list across, create a share link and open it on the other device.

The share link encodes the item labels and the departure time into the URL, so anyone who opens it sees the same list, up to 30 items. The ticks are not part of it: ticking is a local view state that is never saved, never travels with the link, and resets whenever the list changes. Because the labels sit inside the URL, only send it to people who should see them.

Set a departure date and time and the page counts down the remaining days, hours and minutes, refreshing about once a minute while the tab is open. When the moment arrives the message changes to a send-off greeting, and afterwards it shows how long ago the trip started. It is an on-page countdown only, so it cannot send push notifications or reminders.

When the list contains something electronic, such as a charger or a power bank, the page surfaces a link to the socket and voltage table so you can check the plug shape and voltage at your destination. For any single checklist item, you can also open the baggage item check to review the ICAO/IATA international aviation safety baseline for carry-on and checked baggage. The checklist itself does not decide whether an item is allowed, and the baggage check does not cover airline baggage size, weight or fees, individual airline policies, visas, customs, quarantine or entry requirements. Confirm those details with your airline and the relevant authorities.
